The“Social Security Fairness Act”(H.R. 82) would fully repeal the Government Pension Offset (GPO) and Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP) that unfairly deny educators and other public servants of Social Security benefits they have earned, including those who were covered by the Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS).
