JoinNow is the quick and easy online platform that allows you to enroll for membership in your Local Association, the Federal Education Association (FEA), and the National Education Association (NEA).

How To Enroll For Membership Via JoinNow

- Access the JoinNow platform by clicking here
- After you successfully complete your enrollment, look for a confirmation message sent to the email address you provide (be sure to use a personal email address to enroll. Do not use a DoDEA or other government email address)
- Inform your FEA Building Representative/FRS when you have successfully enrolled, so they can check future membership reports they receive to confirm your enrollment.
Answers To Common Questions About JoinNow
Q. Who can enroll in the Association via JoinNow?
DoDEA employees who are bargaining unit members of the Federal Education Association at either Stateside or Overseas locations and are eligible to join for the first time as Active Professional or Active ESP members (FT or PT) may enroll via JoinNow. In addition, former Association members seeking to rejoin after an interruption in their membership (such as a separation from DoDEA to work elsewhere) may do so via JoinNow. Also, persons wishing to join FEA Retired or FEA Pre-Retired may do so using JoinNow.
Q. Who is not able to use JoinNow to enroll in the Association?
The JoinNow system is not set up to enroll any of the following membership types:
- Associate Members at any location
- Student Members at any location
- Substitute Members at any location
- Education Support Professionals (ESPs) at any Overseas location, or at any Stateside location not currently represented by an FEA ESP Local Association
- Anyone who was an Association member last school year and has now relocated to a new school also represented by the Association
- Any new member who does not wish to pay their Association dues via Credit Card or Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)
If you fall into any of the above categories, please ask your FEA Building Representative/FRS to help you enroll for membership via FEA’s conventional membership form.
Q. What payment options are available through JoinNow?
Enrollment through JoinNow requires payment of Association dues by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) either in lump sum or installments, or by Credit Card as a lump sum. If you wish to pay by another method, please ask your FEA Building Representative/FRS to help you enroll for membership via FEA’s conventional membership form.
Q. Can I use JoinNow to change my existing method of payment for Association dues?
JoinNow is only for enrolling new members of the Association. Existing Association members wishing to change their payment method to EFT or Credit Card should visit FEA’s AutoPay information page.
Q. What information do I need in order to enroll via JoinNow?
Besides your personal contact information (be certain to use your personal email address, not a DoDEA or other government email address), you’ll need to know your job title and school, your status as Full Time or Part Time, whether you are a Certified or an Education Support Professional employee (examples of each are provided in the JoinNow platform), and the details of the bank account or credit card you wish to use for dues payment. Overseas employees should sign up using their AE or AP address rather than a street address in a foreign nation.
Q. How long does it take to complete enrollment through JoinNow?
If you have the required information handy, enrollment should take about 10 minutes.
