RA Events for Delegates/Attendees
NEA STANDING STRONG: For our Students, our Schools, and America
IMPORTANT DATES TO NOTE
Plans are underway for an exciting time in Chicago. Check the NEA/RA web site for delegates at http://www.nea.org/annualmeeting for much good information about the RA, and about Chicago.
"The Joint Conference on Concerns of Minorities and Women" has been scheduled for June 28 and 29. If you are interested in attending this very informative conference, the information booklet will be available soon at: http://www.nea.org/grants/42257.htm The dates of the Joint Conference conflict with the beginning of the FEA Annual Membership Meeting this year, but we will do our best to accommodate every attendee. If you attend this meeting, FEA will reimburse you for the registration fee.
"The Human and Civil Rights Awards Banquet" will be held on July 1 at the McCormick Place Convention Center. More information about this event will be forthcoming. FEA will purchase one table of 10 tickets, which will be offered for sale on a first-come, first-serve basis.
FEA Pre-RA "Team Building" Meeting
On June 28, FEA HCR State Coordinator, Mimi Cuadrado, will host a multi-purpose function at the hotel. The event will begin with a light supper, and a time for everyone to get acquainted. The social time will be followed by an interactive workshop, led by Mimi and a team from NEA. This will be a very important and fun event, and everyone is welcome. If you attend this meeting, FEA will pay for your room for this night.
FRIENDSHIP NIGHT
NEA will sponsor a Friendship Night activity at McCormick Place Convention Center on July 2. Details can be found here. Friendship Night is always a great opportunity to ‘let your hair down' and have some fun with delegates from all over the world.
